Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when you may cancel a booking, request changes, or receive a refund through FlyRada. Specific cancellation, change, baggage, refund, and no-show conditions always depend on the fare rules shown before payment and the rules of the operating airline.
Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you. Please note that, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day cancellation right does not generally apply to passenger transport services booked for a specific date or period. The conditions below apply instead.
1. 24-Hour Free Cancellation
You may cancel any booking free of charge within 24 hours of payment, provided that the scheduled departure time is more than 72 hours away.
Where this condition is met, FlyRada will refund the full amount paid, including FlyRada’s service fee, to the original payment method.
After the 24-hour cancellation window has passed, refund eligibility depends on the fare class selected, the airline’s fare rules, and any applicable law.
2. Cancellation by Fare Class
Cancellation rights depend on the fare class and airline selected during booking. Fare classes may be shown as Economy, Premium, Business, First, or similar names, and each airline applies its own cancellation, refund, change, and no-show rules. In general, higher fare classes offer more flexible conditions, while lower-cost fares may be restricted or non-refundable. Any applicable cancellation fees, payment processing costs, FlyRada service fees, fare differences, or non-refundable airline charges may be deducted from the refund amount. In some cases, flexible cancellation may also be available as a separate add-on service during booking. You should always review the exact cancellation rules displayed at checkout before completing your purchase.
3. Changes to a Booking
Date changes, route changes, passenger detail corrections, and name changes are subject to the airline’s rules. The airline may refuse certain changes or require payment of a fare difference, change fee, tax difference, or service charge.
Changes can be requested through your account dashboard or by contacting FlyRada support.
Premium fares include one free date change, where permitted by the airline. Any fare difference, tax difference, or third-party charge may still apply.
Passenger names must match the travel document exactly. FlyRada is not responsible for denied boarding, refused check-in, or additional airline charges caused by incorrect passenger information submitted by the customer.
4. Flight Cancelled or Significantly Delayed by the Airline
If the airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change, you may be entitled to a refund, rerouting, or free rebooking, regardless of fare class, depending on the airline’s conditions of carriage and applicable law.
Where UK Regulation 261/2004, as retained in UK law, EU Regulation 261/2004, or similar passenger protection rules apply, you may also be entitled to compensation directly from the airline.
FlyRada will assist you with the refund or rebooking request where possible. However, airline compensation decisions, refund approval, and payment timing are controlled by the airline or relevant carrier, not by FlyRada.
5. Refund Timing
Refund timing depends on the airline, fare rules, payment provider, and your bank or card issuer.
Where a refund requires airline approval, FlyRada can only process the refund after the airline confirms the refundable amount or returns the funds to us. Airline approval and processing may take up to 30 days and, in some cases, longer where the airline experiences delays, operational disruption, insolvency procedures, payment disputes, or manual review.
After FlyRada receives or is authorised to release the refund, the refund will be issued to the original payment method through Stripe. Once processed, the money typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
FlyRada is not responsible for delays caused by airlines, payment providers, banks, card networks, or incorrect payment details.
6. How Refunds Are Paid
Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used for the booking, unless required otherwise by law.
FlyRada does not provide refunds in cash, to a different card, or to another person’s account.
If FlyRada Points were used for the order, eligible points will be returned to your FlyRada account after the cancellation or refund is confirmed. Points have no cash value and cannot be paid out as money.
If only part of a booking is refundable, FlyRada will refund only the amount confirmed as refundable under the airline’s rules, fare conditions, and applicable law.
7. Non-Refundable Charges
Unless stated otherwise during booking or required by law, the following may be non-refundable:
- FlyRada service fees after the 24-hour free cancellation window
- Airline cancellation or change fees
- Payment processing costs
- Seat selection fees
- Extra baggage fees
- Priority boarding or airport service fees
- Insurance or third-party add-ons
- Charges for partially used tickets
- Charges linked to no-show bookings
Any refundable taxes, airport charges, or government fees will be handled according to the airline’s rules and applicable law.
8. Customer Responsibility
You are responsible for checking all booking details before payment, including passenger names, dates, routes, baggage allowance, visa requirements, transit rules, fare conditions, and refund restrictions.
FlyRada is not responsible for losses, denied boarding, missed flights, refused entry, visa issues, incorrect passenger details, invalid documents, or failure to meet airline or government requirements.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or cancellation:
- Open Account → My Bookings.
- Select the relevant booking.
- Click Cancel booking.
- Review the estimated refund amount.
- Confirm the cancellation request.
You can track the refund status in your booking details and by email.
The refund amount shown before confirmation is an estimate unless the airline has already confirmed the final refundable amount.
10. Limits of FlyRada’s Responsibility
FlyRada acts as an intermediary between you and the operating airline. The airline is responsible for operating the flight and applying its fare rules, refund rules, schedule changes, cancellations, and passenger rights obligations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlyRada’s liability for refund or cancellation services is limited to the FlyRada service fee paid for the relevant booking.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
